Operating System Support

Aligning case by case to drop a version leads to overhead and redundant meetings that can be avoided with a generic process.

Drop metrics

If at least two of the criteria from below apply, the drop of an operating system (OS) version can be proceeded.

• Amount of Sessions: Have less than 2% of all sessions within the last three months been performed with a specific OS version?
• Support drop by OS platform provider: Was the last update on a specific version by the OS platform provider (Apple, Google) more than 3 years ago?
• Number of newer versions: Are there more than 3 newer versions for that os?
• Technology stack: Is there a key technology stack used in George-App not supported by a spedicif OS version?
